CANAL Marine & Industrial Inc. is pleased to announce that two of its team members, Laura Osmond and Chris Wright P.Eng, have been elected to the Board of the Canadian Institute of Marine Engineering (CIMarE) Great Lakes Branch. Their election strengthens CANAL’s ongoing engagement with the marine engineering community and supports CIMarE’s mission to advance marine engineering practice and professional collaboration in Canada.
Laura, CANAL’s Business Development Associate, has served on the Board since 2021 and brings deep regional engagement and technical experience to the CIMarE Board. She is active in the Great Lakes branch of CIMarE and has served in branch leadership roles, contributing to membership and outreach efforts across the region.
Chris, CANAL’s Chief Technology Officer, brings extensive experience in propulsion, hybrid-electric integration, and systems engineering. His work on hybrid propulsion projects and systems integration has been recognized across the industry and will be an asset to CIMarE’s technical and standards-related activities.
